Agreement to these terms

By using BackgroundRemove you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Using the service

Use BackgroundRemove only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Upload images you do not have the right to edit, or that infringe the rights of others.
• Upload illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or abusive content, or content that exploits minors.
• Use the background remover to create misleading images intended to deceive or harm people.
• Disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, or bypass the limits and security of the service.
• Resell access or automate requests without our written permission.

Your content

You keep all rights to the images you upload and to the results of each background remove. You give BackgroundRemove permission to store and process your uploads only to provide the service to you, such as producing cutouts, previews, edits, and downloads.

Accounts, credits, and payments

Some features, including Bulk Editing, AI backgrounds, and image expansion, need an account and image credits. Credit packs are one-time purchases, and subscriptions renew until you cancel them in your account. The credit cost of each action is shown before it runs. Prices and plans may change for future purchases.

Outputs and limitations

The background remover is automatic and results can vary with image quality, lighting, and subject. Review every result before you use it. BackgroundRemove is provided as is, without a guarantee that every output will be accurate or suitable for a specific purpose.

Service availability

We work to keep BackgroundRemove available, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We may change, add, or remove features over time.

Intellectual property

The BackgroundRemove name, logo, interface, and site content belong to us and may not be copied or used without permission. These terms do not grant you rights to our brand.

Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel a subscription at any time from Billing in your account; it stays active until the end of the paid period. If a background remove purchase did not work as described, contact us and we will review the request under the consumer laws that apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as BackgroundRemove adds features or as the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will give notice on the site or by email before it takes effect.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, BackgroundRemove is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the background remover, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. Questions about these terms can be sent to hi@backgroundremove.art.
